Phillip Island Nature Park

The Nature Park is part of the UNESCO Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Biosphere Reserve.
The Nature Park encompasses wildlife reserves, wetlands, woodlands and breathtaking coastlines and provides some of the most intimate viewing of Australian wildlife in their natural habitat.
Our mission is to lead the world in environmental, economic and sustainable nature-base and eco-tourism experience.
We are a not for profit organisation and do not receive ongoing funding from the state or federal governments. All the revenue we generate is re-invested into research, environment, conservation and infrastructure and community projects.
Over 1 million visitors from around the world each year visit the Nature Park.
Our penguin viewing options/tours have the highest ecotourism rating in Australia.
We manage 1805 hectares of area across Phillip Island (25% of Phillip Island).
Created in 1996, we are only ‘Nature Park’ in Victoria. Under the direction of a Board of Management appointed by the government, the Nature Park manages 1 805 hectares of Crown Land on Phillip Island (25% of the Island).
